Reading to Learn Models: A Strategy to Improve Student Science Literacy About Addictive, Additive, and Psychotropic Substances

Scientific literacy an individual’s understanding of scientific concepts, phenomena and processes, their ability to apply this knowledge new and, at times, non-scientific situations. One learning model that can improve students' implementation Reading Learn (R2L). This type research quasi-experimental carried out posttest only control group design. conducted SMP N 29 Padang. sample 31 student experiment class 27 class. Science data subject collected multiple choice arranged based indicators. Realiabity instrument very high category. hypothesis testing using independent t showed significance value smaller than alpha, 0.000 <0.05, so had positive literacy.
